Brief encounter of the sunfish kind

Ocean sunfish (Mola mola) are the largest bony fish in the sea, with an average adult weight of 2,200 lbs, a head-to-tail length of up to 10 feet, and a dorsal tip-to-dorsal tip length of up to 14 feet. Their main prey is jellyfish. Ocean sunfish have a pseudo-tail (clavus), small pectoral fins, and two large dorsal and anal fins. In 1996, an individual was weighed at 5,071 lbs.
